The integrity of global financial markets relies on more than just capital; it relies on the invisible digital infrastructure that facilitates every trade. When that infrastructure is designated as critical infrastructure, the standard for security and oversight must be absolute.

exegy.today was founded as an independent investigative journalism outlet to bridge the dangerous gap between the sophisticated capabilities of modern financial technology and the oversight rigor required to govern it. Through rigorous reporting and technical analysis, this publication seeks to hold critical infrastructure providers accountable to the public interest.

The Call for Enhanced Oversight

The primary objective of this publication is to advocate for heightened government auditing of companies labeled as critical infrastructure. This is particularly vital for entities handling live stock exchange data. Current oversight frameworks are often insufficient for the complexities of high-frequency environments.

We believe that any organization operating within this sphere must be legally required to maintain a dedicated, highly talented cybersecurity department. Security can no longer be a secondary function of IT; it must be a core, independent pillar of corporate governance.

Transparency Through Disclosure

The information disclosed on this site regarding Exegy Inc. is born of necessity. These infrastructure flaws are being made public because internal efforts to address them were disregarded. Leadership previously indicated that a formal bug bounty program would be established to facilitate the submission and remediation of these vulnerabilities; however, no further communication or access to such a program was ever provided.

This lack of transparency creates a significant dilemma for the security community: without open lines of communication or a structured reporting framework, a researcher has no way of verifying if critical flaws have been remediated or if they continue to pose a risk to the sector. When an organization declines to engage with serious security concerns or provide updates on their resolution, the responsibility to protect the broader financial ecosystem shifts to public disclosure.

I am dedicated to presenting only truthful, factual information derived from my firsthand experience at Exegy Inc. This site serves a dual purpose:

  1. Investigative Journalism: Analyzing the intersection of finance and security.

  2. Public Documentation: Creating a transparent record of specific infrastructure flaws observed within Exegy Inc.

Accountability and Due Diligence

It is important to clarify the current legal standing of this publication:

  • No Legal Barriers: As of this date, exegy.today has never received a cease-and-desist order or any takedown notices regarding the material published here.

  • Direct Outreach: In an effort to ensure these risks are mitigated, I have contacted the attorneys of Exegy Inc. customers directly, requesting that they forward these critical security details to the appropriate internal stakeholders.

A Commitment to Proper Channels

While I recognize that specialized channels exist for the disclosure of such issues, navigating the international legal landscape is a complex and costly endeavor. Without the resources for global legal counsel, I am working to identify the proper reporting protocols for every country in which Exegy Inc. operates. Until then, public documentation remains the most effective tool to ensure these vulnerabilities are not ignored.

exegy.today remains committed to the truth, the security of the financial markets, and the belief that transparency is the only path toward a more resilient infrastructure.
